Diabetes Prevention Resource Center
The Southeast Michigan Diabetes Prevention Resource Center serves as a point of contact for people in Southeast Michigan to learn about prediabetes, the Diabetes Prevention Program, and to get connected to a DPP Workshop. As a supplement to the Southeast MI DPP Workshops Map, the Resource Center staff can help you:
- Understand the basics of prediabetes and DPP
- Find a convenient DPP Workshop
- Connect you to and navigate you through the registration process for your preferred DPP Workshop
- Being added to a wait list to be notified when a DPP Workshop that meets their needs becomes available
You can contact the SEMI DP Resource Center by calling our toll-free number
As a central point of contact, the Resource Center mitigates the need to call around to multiple programs for information by providing all the necessary details in a centralized and neutral way. The Resource Center staff can connect you to DPP Workshops in 9 counties across Southeast Michigan including:
- Wayne
- Oakland
- Macomb
- Livingston
- Washtenaw
- Monroe
- St. Clair
- Lenawee
- Genesee
Currently staffed by GDAHC, the SEMI DP Resource Center staff develops ongoing relationships with all of the area’s DPP providers to ensure up-to-date and accurate information about DPP Workshops and the registration process. The Info Center is funded through the work of the Southeast Michigan Hospital Collaborative.
