The Greater Detroit Area Health Council (GDAHC) is a regional, multi-stakeholder coalition dedicated to improving health care quality, access and cost in southeastern Michigan with an end result of improving community health status.

The Health Council is actively involved in issue analysis, health care planning, community education and developing solutions for regional health care delivery.

In support of our mission, we educate, inform and influence change through partnership and collaboration.

The Council's region includes Wayne, Oakland, Macomb,St. Clair, Washtenaw, Monroe and Livingston counties (southeastern Michigan).

The Health Council is a United Way agency.

Members of the Health Council have the opportunity to share individual perspectives with other members and be an active participant in influencing the drivers of health care and policy relating to health care quality, access and cost.

The make-up of our membership creates an opportunity for the Health Council to influence health care policy locally and nationally.
