Before people develop type 2 diabetes, they almost always have prediabetes—blood glucose (sugar) levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Unfortunately, there are no clear symptoms of prediabetes, so the majority of people who have it, don’t know it.
Join the American Diabetes Association on March 28 as we ask all Americans to take the Type 2 Diabetes Risk Test. In less than 60 seconds, you’ll know if you’re at risk for developing diabetes. Then learn more about this disease, how to prevent it and how to fight back to help transform lives.
As we prepare for ADA Alert Day, help us lead the charge by encouraging your employees and members to take 60 seconds from their day to take the online (and anonymous) type 2 diabetes risk test. By understanding their risk, they can take the necessary steps to manage their risk and live a longer, healthier life. Companies and organizations interested in participating in Alert Day can also download the Wellness Lives Here toolkit by clicking here.
